Service and Collection Guidelines
Household Trash
Use trash cans (20–65 gallons, under 50 lbs) or sturdy bags (under 50 lbs).
Place between curb and garage, in a visible location from the curb.
If placing trash behind a gate, leave the gate open during your first week of service to show the setout
location.
Yard Waste
Must be bagged or placed in cans not exceeding 50 lbs.
Place at curbside.
Branches must be bundled, no wider than firewood, and no more than 4' x 4' x 4'.
Limit: 5 bags or bundles per service day.
Heavy Trash & Bulk Waste
Customer will be charged separately for heavy/bulk waste. Please contact our customer service office to
schedule pick-ups and pricing.

Other large household items (under 4' in length)
Items must be placed curbside.

Dirt, rocks, brick, concrete
Liquid paint, fuels, oils
Tires, pesticides, fertilizers, batteries
Contractor-generated waste (tile, flooring, drywall, insulation, cabinetry, etc.)

Newspaper, junk mail, magazines, envelopes
Cardboard boxes, wrapping paper, phone books
File folders, shoe boxes, egg cartons, paper towel rolls
Plastic Products #1 - #7 (rinsed)
Soda/water bottles, milk/juice containers (rinsed)
Shampoo bottles, household cleaner containers (rinsed)
Microwave trays, flower pots
Metal Products (rinsed):
Soda/beer cans, pie trays, canned food cans (rinsed)
Aluminum foil, aerosol cans, pet food cans, pots & pans
Glass Products (rinsed):
Wine/beer bottles, jars, soda bottles (rinsed)
Commonly Mistaken “Recyclables” – Trash These!
❌ Item ⚠️ Why It's Not Recyclable
Plastic bags They jam recycling machinery – take them to store drop-off bins.
Pizza boxes (soiled) Grease contaminates the cardboard, making it unrecyclable.
Styrofoam Not accepted in most curbside programs – hard to recycle.
Paper towels & tissues (used) Considered contaminated and non-recyclable.
Coat hangers (wire or plastic) Can damage sorting equipment.
Mirrors & ceramics Different melting points than glass bottles/jars.
Light bulbs Contain hazardous materials – recycle at special facilities.
Food containers with residue Must be rinsed – dirty items contaminate the load.
Shiny/gift wrapping paper Often coated in plastic or glitter – not recyclable.
Disposable plates/cups (especially coated or waxed) Typically not recyclable due to coating or contamination.
Recycling Guidelines and Reminders
Service Day: Every Wednesday Time: Between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Place recyclables loose in your bin—do not bag.
Rinse all containers before placing in the bin.
Use only bins provided by Walker’s Total Solutions or containers clearly labeled “RECYCLE”.

If your service day falls on a holiday,
collection rolls to the next regularly scheduled day.
